When a mouse on the computer screen turns yellow, there is a problem. However, most problems do come with solutions. This means the mouse is failing and the problem lies in the computer’s hardware.
There are many things people can do to try and fix their mouse problems without taking it to the computer store. One thing to try is to make sure the mouse is plugged in and it has not accidentally come unplugged. If it is plugged in correctly, unplug the mouse and check to make sure the connectors are not bent or broke, and make sure it is plugged into the right place on the computer.
Another reason a mouse might stop working and people get the yellow arrow on the screen is that the track ball is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Clean the track ball with a mild solution and make sure all the residue is removed, also while cleaning the track ball, also clean the cavity the ball sits in with a cotton swap. After connecting the mouse back to the computer, check to see if this fixes the problem by trying to use the mouse.
The hardest thing to fix would be that the computer has a virus, and this is causing the error problem with the mouse, if this is the case, simply run a virus scan on the computer or if all else fails take the computer to a computer repair person.
